Kala Bakra

Kala Bakra village comes under the Bhogpur development block of Jalandhar. Jalandhar is a district in the Indian state of Punjab.

Bakra lies on the Jalandhar-Pathankot road. The village has its own railway station. The area of this village is 454 hectares and population according to 1991 census is 2456 individuals. The village has its own primary and secondary school, govt hospital. The village holds two main jatt clans Dhaliwal and Rai, the latter also known as sarobadhi as they descended from sarobadh. The Dhaliwals are prominently well established in the village as they are known as Lambardars and Sarpanchs. Kala bakra is also home to a famous Punjabi singer Rai Jujhar.
